Our Mission
Ashe Foundation works towards a world where the Maasai community in Tanzania has the opportunity to pursue a good life and their own happiness, regardless of cultural background, gender, life choices, or religious beliefs. Everyone should have the chance to flourish. This is the core value of Ashe Foundation.
In this vision, livelihood security is guaranteed. This also includes access to basic needs such as food, clean drinking water, medical care, education, adequate housing, and participation within the community.
Together with the local Maasai community, Ashe Foundation works to create socio-economic opportunities. Through local partnerships, Ashe Foundation supports sustainable local projects. The intended impact of Ashe Foundation is a world in which the Maasai community has the chance to pursue a good life and their own happiness.

Strategy 1:
Ashe Foundation sustainably supports local projects that are driven by the local Maasai community. By providing support, opportunities can be created to strengthen the socio-economic position of the Maasai community.
This strategy is directly focused on improving the living conditions of the Maasai community. The support provided by Ashe Foundation to local projects is carried out within four areas:
- Income
- Agriculture
- Health and Well-being
- Education
Strategy 2:
Ashe Foundation works closely with local partners from the Maasai community. The effect of our close collaboration is that the projects are embraced by the Maasai community.
This strategy aims to create support and, as a result, sustainability. The support from the Maasai community contributes to the long-term sustainability of the projects.
